Tata Safari Storme launches today at Rs 9.95 lakh
After a long wait, the all new Tata Safari Storme has been finally rolled-out in the Indian market with a competitive starting price tag of Rs 9.95 lakh. The new Safari Storme is not only better in terms of looks, but also deliver a superbly improved performance, thanks to a range of performance enhancing features. The new Storme is position above the existing Safari model and the company will continue selling both of these SUV’s in India.

Powered by an improved 2.2 Liter VariCor engine, the new Safari Storme delivers a peak power and torque figure combination of 140 Bhp-320 Nm (same as before). However, the addition of new G76 MKII gearbox makes the gear shifting more precise than before. While the 4X2 model of the car will be delivering a mileage of 14 km per liter, the 4X4 variant will be offering a mileage of 13.2 km per liter.
The new Tata Safari model is launched in four variants including Safari Storme LX 4X2 at Rs 9.95 lakh, Safari Storme EX 4X2 at Rs 10.77 lakh, Safari Storme VX 4X2 at Rs 12.37 Lakh and Safari Storme VX 4X4 at Rs 13.66 Lakh. In this price segment, the major rivals of the car in the Indian market will be Mahindra’s Scorpio and XUV 500 and Renault’s latest Duster.

The ARAI certified mileage of Tata Safari Storme is 14 kmpl for the 4X2 version while the 4X4 trim returns 13.2 kmpl.

On the safety front, major attractions of the Tata Safari Storme include ABS (antilock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), dual airbags for driver and front passenger, reverse camera mounted on inside rearview mirror etc. While the initial warranty is of 3 years-100,000 Kms, there is an option of extending it by 1 year-50,000 Kms.
The quality of interior has been improved substantially with new dashboard, soft touch plastic, and wood and leather inserts. The inside space offered in Safari Storme is best in class, and what adds glitters to the gold is its top end model’s leather upholstered seats.

I am very excited about the launch of Tata Safari Storme as I want to buy a car on this Diwali and I have got good reviews about it. Also the SUV is in my budget of 10 lakh.
