Tata Showcased its First Electric Vehicle Tiago EV, Launching Soon in India
Tata Motors, the home grown car manufacturer launched the Tiago hatchback and Tigor sportback sedan in Indian car market, which got a great response from its lovers. Now, as per the market trend, the company has showcased its first electric vehicle as “Tiago EV” concept at an event in Millbrook. Tata Motors will launch this electric car in India to record a good success.
The Tata Tiago EV will use same technology which is used in the UK based Bold EV, run on an 85kW electric motor to produce 200Nm of torque. Also, company claims that it will run at the 135 km/h of top speed and will take around 11 seconds to reach the 100 km/h mark from its standstill position. The car might have a single-speed transmission system and the power will be delivered to its front wheels. Also, it is claimed that once fully charged motor will allow the car to go 100 km.
However, the car will make it way to India by the next year but, company also planning to enhance the sales of the Nano hatchback by launching the car in electric option with the launch of this electric Tiago. If, the Tata Tiago EV comes in India, it will become the fastest electric car in Indian car market.
