Tata Tiago Aktiv in the pipeline of Tata Motors
Encourage from the over whelming response receiving for its newly launched hatchback Tiago in Indian car market, domestic car maker Tata Motors is going to bring its crossover version in Indian car market. Codenamed as Tigao Aktiv the upcoming crossover has been endorsed as the most affordable crossover in country. Prior to this domestic car maker had showcased the crossover type version of Tiago hatchback during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 held in the month of February this year. According to reports the car maker is soon going to commence the production of Aktiv.
Once launched in Indian car market Tiago Aktiv will compete against Toyota Liva Cross and Hyundai i20 Active in Indian car market. Under the hood Tiago Aktiv will continue with same 1.2 litre three cylinder Revotron petrol and 1.05 litre three cylinder Revotorq diesel engine as offered in Tiago hatchback. Both the engines would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system. According to company sources in the beginning only few units of Tiago Aktiv will be manufactured by the car maker and after assessing response from Indian buyers company will enhance its production. However going through the response of Indian buyers towards hatchback Tiago, which recorded more than 15,000 bookings within the short span of its launch, it is speculated that Tiago Aktiv will succeed in repeating the same success in Indian car market.
Continuing the same features as offered in Tiago on both exteriors and interiors Tiago Aktiv will be embellished with some additional features like black colored plastic cladding on the tailgate, alloy wheels, skid plate at the rear portion and plastic cladding across the whole vehicle so as to give it a crossover look.
