Tata Tiago bookings crosses mark of 15,000; sirens to be a big hit
Tiago hatchback by domestic car maker Tata Motors launched in month of April this year has received an encouraging response from Indian car enthusiasts. According to reports company has so far received more than 15,000 bookings and above one lakh enquiries since its launch. Within a month after its launch company has sold out around 3,022 units across the country. Launch of Tiago has helped in achieving growth of 2.2 percent in sales during the month of April.
Offered in both petrol and diesel energized with 1.2 litre 3 cylinder Revotron petrol and 1.05 litre 3 cylinder Revotorq diesel engine boosting power and torque of 84bhp and 114Nm and 69 bhp and 140Nm respectively with both engines mated through five speed manual transmission system. The petrol variant delivers an average of 23.84 kmpl and diesel delivers an average of 27.82 kmpl.
The hatchback is offered in overall five trims namely XB, XE, XM, XT and XT with starting price of Rs. 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Physically it has length of 3,746mm, width of 1,647mm, height of 1,535mm and wheelbase of 2,400 mm. It is offered with option of six passionate colors including sunburst orange, platinum silver, espresso brown, pearlescent white, striker blue and berry red. Tiago has emerged as stronger contender to Celerio hatchback from MSIL.
