Tata Tiago launching on April 6, 2016: Confirmed
Finally all speculations and rumours regarding launch of new hatchback Tiago by domestic car maker Tata Motors came to an end with an announcement of its launching date on April 6, 2016 by car maker itself. Developed on new impact design philosophy Tiago was unveiled by car maker last year in the month of December. Interestingly not only launching date of Tiago had been changed from time to time but even its name has been changed Zica to Tiago due to impact Zika virus which affected various countries in the beginning of this year. The bookings of Tiago have been already commenced by Tata Motors since March 10, 2016, with Tiago already reached the doors of dealers across the country.
Considered as an advanced version of Indica hatchback under the hood Tiago will be offered with 1.2 litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol and 1.0 litre three cylinder Revotorq diesel engine boosting the power of 83.8 bhp and 69 bhp respectively. The engines will be coated with five speed manual gear box system.
Expected to be offered with price tag between Rs. 3.9 lakh and Rs. 5.5 lakh after launch in Indian car market Tiago will compete against Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Hyundai i10 and others in segment. It will be offered in passionate six colors comprising of Pearlescent White, Striker Blue, Platinum Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, and Sunburst Orange.
