Tata Tiago Touches The Milestone of 1 Lakh Bookings

Launched last year during April 2016, the Tiago hatchback from domestic car maker has been game changer for Tata Motors and succeeded in winning over the confidence of Indian car enthusiasts. Now after the gap of almost eighteen months since its launch Tiago had added one more diamond in its crown. According to recent reports revealed by Tata Motors the Tiago hatchback has crossed the mark of 1 lakh bookings. With this the car maker had already sold out 65,000 units of Tiago in Indian car market where it competes with Renault Kwid, Hyundai i10 and Maruti Suzuki Celerio.

Mechanically, the hatchback receives Revotron 1.2 litre engine under petrol variant and 1.05 Revotorq engine under diesel variant. Both the variants are mated with five speed manual gearbox system followed AMT transmission system as an option. Both the variants are offered with two driving modes comprising of City and Eco. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said,"Tiago boasts our new IMPACT design philosophy and has been a game changer for Tata Motors. With its stylish design, enhanced performance and drive dynamics, TIAGO led the company's transformation journey, setting a benchmark in the hatchback segment. We have witnessed a healthy month-on-month growth on the back of a strong demand. The car is making all the right noises in India. We are extremely happy with the response received so far and are confident of achieving more milestones in the months to come."

Industry experts believe that learning from past experience Tata had worked intensively on designing the concept of Tiago with fresh appearance on both the exterior and interior followed by use of high quality material inside the cabin with substantial space to offer comfort seating experience to the passengers.
