Tata Tigor Bookings Started, Might be Launched in India On March 29, 2017
Tata Motors about to launch the much awaited Tigor aka Kite 5 sedan in India on March 29th, 2017. The company has started its booking for the potential customers with the token amount of Rs. 10,000. After the launch of Tata Tigor, the car will give a tough competition to the already available Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and other similar cars in the compact sedan segment.
Tata Tigor will be launched in both petrol and diesel option to deliver the efficient power and performance. The petrol variant of the car will run on a 1.2L 3-cylinder Revotron which is supplying the power of 85 bhp and peak torque of 114 Nm, while the diesel model will run on a 1.05L 3-cylinder Revotroq engine producing the power output of 70bhp / 140Nm. Both the engine will be mated with a 5-speed manual transmission system. Also, it is rumored that the Tigor might have AMT gearbox with top-end variants to offer better driving experience.
In the looks, the all new Tata Tigor will get the sweptback projector headlamps with LED DRLs, signature front grille, fog lamps with chrome finish, stylish alloy wheels and the combination tail lamps that will make it classy. Rear view of the all new Tigor possesses coupe-type design that makes it sportier.
The car will borrow some features from the Tiago hatchback like Harman infotainment display with Bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity, navigation system, music system with 4-speakers and 2-tweeters. For the safety, the Tigor will be equipped with front driver and co-passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD and others.
The Tata Tigor is expected to be launched under the price range of Rs. 4.5 – 6.0 Lac ex-showroom.
