Tata to Bring a New Hatchback against Maruti Suzuki Baleno

It seems domestic car maker Tata Motors do not want to leave any stone unturned in its efforts of retaining and strengthening its weakening position in Indian car market. This can be witnessed from company’s schedule for coming year as according to reports where domestic car maker is planning to launch its highly awaited crossover SUV Hexa in Indian car market followed by launch of compact sedan Kite 5 and compact SUV Nexon in later months. If you think that this the complete program of native car maker for 2017, then you are at an edge of doing a big mistake. According to reports along with these launches, company will also developing its strategy for the year 2018. It is reported that to compete with premium hatchback Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Motors will be bringing a new hatchback which at present has been codenamed as X451.

Reports also reveal that company has even started making preparations for it behind the curtains. From the internal sources of company is said that the hatchback will carry the same impact design philosophy that is seen in other cars manufactured by Tata Motors. The hatchback is reported to carry a SUV look alike and offer the comforts that are offered in premium hatchback.
 
The X451 is one of the products that will be based on Advanced Modular Platform, it will be offered in  both petrol and diesel disguises comprising of 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5 litre diesel engine that will be offered in upcoming compact SUV Nexon. It is expected that both the engine will churn the power ranging from 100 to 110 bhp and transmission duties will be managed  by six speed manual and six speed AMT transmission system.
