Tata To Launch JTP Editions Of Tigor And Tiago On October 26, 2018
Finally, the domestic car maker Tata Motors has revealed the dates of launching the JTP Editions of Tiago and Tigor in the Indian car market. According to the sources of the company it will be launching the advanced versions of both these vehicles on October 26, 2018. The concept version of these editions were showcased by the carmaker during the Indian Auto Expo 2018, held earlier this year. It is reported that both these vehicles will undergo vast cosmetic updates along with new powerful turbocharged petrol engine. The JTP editions are developed in the joint collaboration of Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives from Coimbatore.

Mechanically, both the vehicles will be empowered with the 1.2 litre Revotron turbo-petrol engine outsourced from Nexon compact SUV. This engine will generate the power of 109 bhp at rpm of 5,000 followed by the torque of 150Nm at rpm between 2000-4000 rpm, with transmission duties performed by five-speed manual gearbox system. It is speculated that the same mechanical updates will be introduced by the Tata Motors in the other trims also in the coming period.

Talking about the cosmetic updates the Tata Tigor JTP and Tiago JTP will comprise of new front and rear bumpers with large air intakes, new fog lamps housing, JTP badge at the front grille, and blacked out headlamps. The side profile will receive fifteen-inch alloy wheels with side skirts and new ORVMs with contrasting color options. Dimensionally, it will be offered with the same length, width and height, however the ground clearance of the JTP editions has been minimized to 161mm, which is 9mm lower than standard trims. As far as interior changes are concerned nothing has been so far revealed in the spy images.
