Tata to launch Zest in the mid of this year

After unveiling its compact sedan Zest in Indian auto expo 2014, Tata Motors is working to launch the vehicle in Indian car market sometimes during the middle of this year. The compact sedan will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, with petrol variant blessed with 1.2 litre Revotron turbocharged MPFi engine developing the power of 84 bhp. The diesel variant will be equipped with 1.3 litre diesel engine churning the power of 89 bhp and torque of 200Nm.   
 
The exteriors of sedan will be customized with projector headlamps followed by chrome slats, Tata’s signature grille with humanity line, 15 inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps etc. On the other side interiors will be offered with 5 inch touchscreen multimedia system, navigation system, HARMAN infotainment system, speed sensitive power steering, anti lock braking system, electronic power assisted system, social media integration and many more.
 
An interesting fact associated with Tata Zest is that it country’s first compact sedan that will be equipped automated manual transmission system. It is blessed with sportier look and is designed to give tough competition to sedan like Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and recently launched Hyundai Xcent in the segment.
