Tata to Now Launch Tiago AMT in 2017

Those who are waiting for launch of Tiago AMT from home grown car maker Tata Motors in coming weeks, the recent industry reports might disappoint them to huge extent. It is reported that now the AMT Tiago, which were earlier was scheduled to debut during the festive season will now be launched either in the earlier months of 2017 or during its mid in Indian car market. Reports reveal that at present domestic car maker is focusing on launch of its another highly awaited vehicle Hexa crossover which is slated for launch sometimes during the month of January 2017 and for which company has already commenced the bookings at down payment of Rs. 11,000.

Moving ahead the car maker is also working speedily on launch of its new sedan Kite 5 and sub-compact SUV Nexon, which since their unveil during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 have become the topic of discussion among car enthusiasts because of their looks and endorsed performance. It is speculated that after launching Hexa crossover in county company will start making preparations for launch of Kite 5 sedan developed on Tiago’s platform. With French car maker Renault already set to bring the AMT version of its best selling hatchback Kwid soon in Indian car market, delaying the launch of Tiago AMT for Tata might result in shifting its aspirants to other upcoming AMT hatchbacks in country.

The AMT system that will be offered by Tata Motors is F-Tronic AMT system developed Italian company Magneti Marelli. The trim will be powered with 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine churning the power of 83 bhp and torque of 114Nm. So now with Hexa croosover, Tiago AMT, Kite 5 sedan and sub-compact Nexon in country during 2017 it seems Tata Motors do not seems in mood of leaving any stone unturned to improvise its position in Indian car market.
