Tata Zica finally to be named as Tata Tiago

Finally the hunt of Tata Motors came to end by finalising name of its highly awaited hatchback Zica for which it had conducted a contest named as #FantasticoNameHunt contest online asking car enthusiasts to decide its name from three suggested names, Adore, Civet and Tiago. And the name which emerged as first preference by car enthusiasts among these cars is Tiago and now Tata Zica will called as Tata Tiago. According to reports domestic car maker has already commenced the promotions of same on various platforms. As reported car maker had decided to rename Zica after spread of Zika virus in different countries resulting in loss of various lives. As an impact of which to control any type of controversy which might have arisen from Zica name car maker decided to change its name.

Developed on completely new design philosophy after launch in market Tiago will replace the existing hatchback Indica from Indian and global market. There will be option of petrol and diesel engines empowered with 1.2 litre 3 cylinder Revotron and 1.05 litre Revotorq engines respectively followed by integration of five speed manual gear box system. The hatchback will embellish various exclusive and stylish features offered on exteriors and interiors.
 
Speculated to be launch either by the end of March or in beginning of April this year, car maker has engaged renowned footballer Lionel Messi as its ambassador to endorse Tiago. After launch in Indian car maker it will compete against recently launched Ford Figo, Hyundai i10 and Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
