Tesla To Set-Ups Its First Showroom In Lower Parel-Worli, Mumbai
The US-based electric carmaker Tesla is soon going to commence its activities in the Indian car market. According to reports the company has established its first showroom-cum-office in Lower Parel-Worli, Mumbai business district. The company has been finding its potential in India for a long time and now has finally established its first showroom and office for operating its activities in India from one of the posh localities of Mumbai.
The company has already its office established in Bengaluru. Now according to the new report the company has decided to start its operation from Mumbai. It is believed that the company will use the Bengaluru office as its headquarter in India, and the Mumbai office as a regional office. After the confirmation by Elon Musk to start the operation of his company in India, Karnataka, Chief-Minister, Hon. B.S. Yediyurappa in February had announced that the US company will establish its production unit in the state.
It is reported that the company had started constituting its team for India operations. Recently the company hired IIM Bengaluru alumnus Manuj Khurana as the head of Policy and Business Development head for operations in India. The company also hired Nishant as Charging Manager to head the supercharging, destination charging and home charging business in India. Prior to this Nishant was working as the head of Charging Infrastructure and Energy Storage in Ather, the domestic electric vehicle company.
