Thailand Moto Expo: Honda Showcases its BRV-Compact SUV slated for India

Japanese car maker Honda Motor Corporation has raised its flag off from its proposed compact SUV, BR-V slated for Indian car market during the ongoing Thailand International Motor Expo. The compact SUV is expected to make its debut in Indian car market sometimes during the month of April next year and might be even showcased in Indian Auto Expo 2016.

The version of this compact SUV showcased during show was its petrol trim which was boosted with 1.5 litre four cylinder 16 valve i-VTEC engine that churns the power of 117 bhp at 6,000 rpm and torque of 145 Nm at 4,700 rpm. The engine would be mated with six speed manual gear transmission system followed by Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) System. As far as Indian car market is concerned it is speculated that Indo-Japanese car maker HCIL might also launch it in diesel variant which would be developed with 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine similar to other cars existing in portfolio of car maker.

Talking about the features that would be adorned on the exteriors of this compact SUV will include projector headlights, C-shaped LED tail lights, followed by newly developed 16 inch aluminum alloy wheels. The front fascia will receive chrome garnished thick grille with Honda’s signature. The air dam has been coated with honeycomb garnish. With this integration of skid plate below the front bumper and side cladding further enhances the appearance of exteriors. It would be interested to know that with all these features the compact SUV will also host bunch of all safety features including ABS+EBD, Hill Start Assist, Dual SRS Airbag and Vehicle Stability Assist system.
