The 2020 Honda WR-V All Set To Launch On July 2, 2020-06-30

Finally, after the long wait of almost three months, the refreshed Honda WR-V is all set to make its debut in the Indian car market on July 2, 2020. The compact SUV was earlier slated for launch in March 2020, and the company had initiated its booking also at the down payment of Rs. 21,000. However, later on, due to lockdown in the entire nation due to coronavirus the launch was scheduled for the post lockdown period. The first generation of WR-V was launched back in 2017 and went against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Hyundai Venue.

Underhood, the Honda WR-V 2020 will be empowered with the new BS-VI  compliant engine in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will be empowered with a 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine boosting the power of 89 bhp and the torque of 110Nm, while the diesel variant will be enriched with a 1.5-liter engine developing the power of 99 bhp and the torque of 200Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by a five-speed manual transmission in the petrol variant and a six-speed transmission system will perform duty in the diesel variant. The petrol variant is reported to deliver an average of 16.5 kmpl, whereas the diesel variant will deliver an average of 23.7 kmpl.
 
On the exterior front, the new Honda WR-V will be upgraded with additional features like the new front grille, LED projector headlamps with DRLs, and position lamps at the front fascia. The rear portion will receive the LED lamps. Moving towards the interior features it will adorn the number of upgraded features in form of a new touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new upholstery, automatic climate control, electronic ORVMs, keyless entry, reverse camera, one-touch electric sunroof, cruise control and many more. These features will be however offered according to the trim preferred by the buyer.
