Its July now and it’s raining cars in India. There are three car launches scheduled in the near future and these include Mercedes Benz B Class, BMW 3 series and Hyundai Elantra. Where the first one is a sports tourer in the garb of hatchback, the next two are sedans. Hoped to be launched tomorrow the B Class hatchback will be priced under Rs 20 lakh and this will be the most affordable car by Mercedes. Expected to be launched in petrol and diesel models, the car will have a lot of Sports Tourer features such as Active Park Assist, Hill Hold an Hill descent control besides adaptive head lamp Assist system and other features. It is expected that Mercedes will be selling the B Class as a Sports Tourer rather than hatchback as the SUV market in India is already on the high and putting in a car at Rs 20 lakh will be a must buy for those who wish to buy Audi Q3 or BMW X1.

However, the Elantra will be competing with some of the big player such as Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis as well as Vento in this segment which are doing great work and fetching good numbers.
