Three New Cars Ready To Debut Next Week

2020 has not been an encouraging year for anyone in the entire world due to the arrival of global pandemic COVID-19, however, with the advent of vaccine to restrict its rapid spread it is believed that the world will soon come out from its impact. With the same hope, the Indian auto industry is also all set to begin its journey for 2021 by three highly-awaited cars ready to debut in the Indian car market during the first week of January 2021. It would be interesting to know that all these launches will be back-to-back on 5th, 6th, and 7th January 2021.
 
The first car slated for launch on January 5, 2020, will be the facelift version of luxurious sedan A4 by the German carmaker Audi, followed by the Facelift version of Fortuner MPV and the compact SUV Compass by the Japanese and US-based carmaker Toyota and Jeep respectively.
 
Audi A4: The bookings for this luxurious sedan have been already initiated by the German carmaker with the down payment of Rs. 2 Lakh through its portal or via all the dealerships throughout the country. Mechanically it will be empowered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine replacing the existing 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The new engine is capable of boosting the power of 190 bhp. Some of the cosmetic changes introduced in the facelift version include new front bumper followed by a set of new LED headlamps with DRLS, single-frame grille, and slightly upgraded taillamps. Inside the cabin, it receives minor updates, the notable change be 10.1-inch infotainment system with the MMI system.

Toyota Fortuner: The facelift Fortuner is ready to make its debut in the Indian car market on January 6, 2021. Besides the regular Fortuner, the company is also going to add an advanced version christened as Fortuner Legender. It is reported to be sportier and the premium version. Under the hood, it will be offered with an updated 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine boosting the power of 204 bhp, along with 2.7-litre petrol engine developing the power of 166 bhp. On the exterior front, it will receive refreshed bumper, new front grille, set of new LED headlamps with LED DRLs, slim LED taillamps, and the set of new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it will undergo minute changes in the form of an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system and some fewer changes.

Jeep Compass: The third launch of the week would compact SUV Compass by the American carmaker Jeep. The updated Jeep Compass will make its debut on January 7, 2021. Under the hood, it will continue to be offered with an existing 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine boosting the power of 161 bhp, and a 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine churning the power of 173 bhp. The transmission duties will be performed by an option of a six-speed manual gear transmission system, seven-speed DCT (available only in the petrol variant), and a nine-speed automatic (available in a diesel variant). On the exterior front, it will receive in form of a refreshed new grille, updated front bumper and fog lamps, sleek headlamps, and a few more. Inside the cabin, it will receive a ten-inch infotainment system with FCA’s latest UConnect 5 technology.
