Three products in pipelines of MSIL for this year
After launching its highly awaited hatchback Celerio during the recently concluded Indian Auto Expo 2014, it is reported that leading car manufacturing company of country is working on launching three more cars in Indian car market before the end of this year. Earlier company had announced that it will launch the facelift version of its hatchback Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire sedan in Indian car market. But now it is reported that apart from launching both these cars during the festive season company is speculating to launch its mid-sized Ciaz also by the end of this year in Indian car market. MSIL had unveiled the same car in the recent Indian Auto Expo and now planning to launch it in market in both petrol and diesel version.
The company has already launched the facelift version Swift hatchback in Japan and few European countries. It is speculated that now without making much delay company will launch both these vehicles at the earliest in Indian car market also. The major features offered in Swift hatchback include LED daytime running lights along with fog lamps and newly designed front bumper, followed by 16 inch alloy wheels offered in the top end version of Swift hatchback. The changes offered in interiors include electronically adjustable side mirrors, new upholstery for the seats, power window for driver side and few more. The same facelifts will be offered in its sibling sedan Swift Dzire.
The recent launch of new Honda City has geared tough competition in the mid-sized segment of car. Moreover with new Fiat Linea launching next month and announcement by other companies to launch the facelift versions of their existing sedans it is expected that the competition will get more tough in coming months between companies. It is expected that to maintain its dominance in Indian car market MSIL will launch Ciaz at the earliest, as its mid-sized sedan SX4 did not succeed in enjoying the expected success.
