Tokyo Motor Show 2015: Datsun Showcases Go-Crossover Concept
Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors which re-entered in International car market last year with Go hatchback and Go + MPV has now showcased its first crossover Datsun Go Cross during the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show 2015. The Crossover is also reported to be showcased during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2016 and would be simultaneously launched in India and other countries in Asian continent. As the crossover has been developed on Go+ MPV it is anticipated to be priced just above it.

Along with Go Cross the Japanese car maker also showcased its RediGo concept which it had showcased during the last Indian Auto Expo held in 2014. The Redi Go is also scheduled for launch in Indian car market sometimes during 2016 and it is expected that its first glimpse will also be showcased during Indian Auto Expo 2016.
Returning back to Datsun Go Cross it is believed to carry the same 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine as offered in Go hatchback or might carry completely new engine configuration of 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine developed in collaboration of Nissan and Renault. Moving towards the appearance of Go Cross the front fascia embellishes dual headlamps resembling to generation first Skoda Yeti followed by Datsun’s conventional trapezoidal grille. The front and rear bumpers receive dual colored treatment along with faux skid plates. It would be interested to know that being a crossover the Go Cross also follows the trend of mounting body cladding across the body. Apart from this it will also bestow improved ground clearance than compared to its predecessors Go and Go+. As far as interiors of this crossover are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by car maker but as it is a crossover it is expected to be offered with seven seater seating capacity.
