Toyota Discontinues Yaris From The Indian Car Market

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian alliance of the Japanese carmaker, has discontinued the Yaris sedan from India. It is believed that due to failure in attracting the customers according to expectations the company discontinued the sedan from India. According to company sources, it will continue to provide regular servicing of Yaris to its customers. Along with this, it will continue to supply the genuine spare parts of Yaris for the coming ten years.

Commenting on the decision of discontinuing the Yaris from India, the sources of the company said, “This move is a part of Toyota’s product strategy to continue to cater to the ever-evolving needs of the customer through enhanced technologies and product offerings”. According to sources, the company is on the way to launch some new products in India during 2022.
 
Moving ahead in a statement, the sources of the company said, “We thank all our customers for their support and placing their trust in the brand. We would like to continue to serve such customers with other current offerings and, preparations are underway to launch new Toyota models in the coming new year 2022”.
 
At present, the company sells Innova Crysta, Camry, Fortuner, and Glanza in the Indian car market. It is reported, that in continuation to its joint venture with the Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Toyota will launch a new sedan Belta developed on the lines of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
