Toyota Innova and Fortuner get things right with increased production
Japanese car maker has set things right to enable smooth production of Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova. These two products are best selling one in the stable recently joined by the Toyota Etios sedan and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback though. Where Innova is a segment leader and there are offerings such as Maruti Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy besides other upcoming MPVs that are getting ready to shake the earth beneath it. In order to meet the high demand and curtail the rising waiting period, Toyota has increased production of Fortuner and Innova after it has expanded the capacity of its plant.

As per sources, the Toyota plant expansion that started last year is now almost over and increased production of Innova and Fortuner has already begun. Notably, a small section of car buyers preferred other cars such as Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo due to the high waiting period of Innova. While there was a similar treatment to the Fortuner in the SUV segment. Significantly, it is known that people went to buy recently launched Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Chevrolet Captiva sensing the high waiting period of Fortuner.

The expansion has also completed at the right time when it is most needed as the Innova MPV and Fortuner SUV both were facing strong rivals and there are more to come. The expansion of capacity of production will enable the two cars maintain grip over the market. During the expansion was undergoing, Toyota also launched the facelift version of Toyota Innova and a low priced two wheel drive model of Fortuner SUV. Both these measures have also increased prospects of these cars over their current rivals. The new Toyota Innova launch has also enabled the MPV to stand in competition with the new Mahindra Xylo which is said to be highly inspired by Mahindra XUV 500 SUV.
