Toyota Innova to undergo one more facelift
Japanese auto giant Toyota is reported to soon introduce the facelift version of its highly acclaimed multi-purpose vehicle Innova soon in Indian car market. The MPV made its debut in Indian car market during 2005 and during this period of its eight years existence it has undergone two cosmetic surgeries, to enhance the driving experience of Indian drivers. The ongoing third facelift will be introduced in both the interior and exteriors of the vehicle.
According to reports the new variant of Innova adorns enlarged chrome plated grille with company's logo placed on them. The bumper has been redesigned with fog lamps edged with chrome. The rear portion has been upgraded with widened chrome plate followed by installation of additional reflectors on both the sides. However nothing has been disclosed regarding the modifications made in interiors but according to speculations the interiors will not go any major editions except few. As far as any modification in engine is concerned it is never introduced in the facelift versions of any vehicle. It means that the existing engine of 2.0 liter, 132 PS engine and 2.5 liter engine will be will be continued in the facelift version respectively followed by five speed manual gearbox.
Since its entrance in Indian car market Innova succeeded in dominating MPV segment of cars in Indian market regardless of the attempts made by its strong contenders like Chevrolet, Nissan and other. In such scenario when Innova already holds the crown of the best MPV, one more facelift will undoubtedly strengthen its roots more strongly in Indian car market.
