Toyota Motors registered a sales growth of 63% in October
The recently conclude d festive season in October saw its all time low due to inflation. Many established carmakers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motors failed to cash upon this festive carnival, with some or the other reasons. But Toyota Motors is listed among some of the fortunate automakers that were able to convert this festive season into a real feastive season in terms of sales volumes.
The Japanese auto major recorded an upward movement of 63.01% in the recently ended month of October. The growth is rated high, looking at the present auto market scenario; which is bearing a slowdown.
Previous year the company had made sales of 6,602 vehicles in October month, which increased to 10,762 vehicles in the concluded month. The sale was majorly boosted by the Toyota’s sedan Etios and hatchback car Etios Liva.
On the company’s satisfactory performance Mr. Sandeep Singh, the deputy managing director for marketing at Toyota Motors said that the overall production at the manufacturing units has been lower this month (i.e. October) as compared to normal because of the festive holidays. But still the sales have gone up, with Etios drawing out the sales figures for the company, he added.
As per the company, the Etios range has been the major driver for this sales growth, with around 3,405 units of Etios sedan and 2,454 units of hatchback Etios Liva sold in the month of October.
Earlier, the company announced to export made-in-India Etios sedan to South Africa by March next year. The car will feature some changes in order to cater the conditions in the African country.
