Toyota shoots for selling 100,000 Toyota Etios in 2012
Toyota Motors, Indian unit of Japanese car maker launched the most anticipated Toyota Etios Liva hatchback on Monday in the Indian auto market and have a projection to sell more than 1,00,000 units of Toyota Etios series of cars by the year 2012 which includes Toyota Etios Sedan and Liva hatchback.
Production capacity of the company per annum is 1, 50,000 units at present.
Toyota’s portfolio in Indian auto market was moderate as none of its model in small and mid size segment spoke volumes until November 2010.The Company launched Toyota Etios, a basic sedan in December 2010 and for further expansion the company has entered the compact hatchback segment which is highly competitive. Car lovers in India are giving an excessive response to both the cars.

The Toyota Etios will fortify the place of the company in country and will also allow the Japanese auto maker to take a large portion of the auto sales in the Indian Auto market.
The company already caters to Indian buyers some of the best-selling cars like Toyota Altis, premium sedan Toyota Corolla, SUV Toyota Fortuner and MUV Toyota Innova.
Toyota Etios is an added feather to the company’s hat.
