Toyota Working on Launching Daihatsu Ayla Hatchback in India
It is reported that Japanese car maker Toyota is speculating to introduce its budget friendly brand Diahatsu in Indian car market, to strengthen its position in entry level vehicles in Indian car market. According to reports the existing members of Toyota family Etios Liva hatchback and Etios sedan are not performing well as speculated by company. Therefore to make its strong hold in Indian car market, Japanese car maker is going to bring its economical brand Diahatsu to lure the first time buyers in India willing to invest up-to Rs. 5 lakh for purchasing their first ever car. The first proposed car of this initiative will be a hatchback christened as Ayla. Reports reveal that the prototype of hatchback has been caught testing recently on India roads.

Earlier it was anticipated that Japanese car maker will introduce the brand in India sometimes in 2019, but now as spies have caught the unit of Ayla being tested on Indian roads and that also completely un-covered it is believed that company will soon introduce the same at earliest in market. As far as looks of Ayla are concerned the images captured from spies reveal that embellished alloy wheels and carries most of its cues from the variant which is already on sale in Malaysian car market. The interiors are able to offer comfort seating experience to four passengers. The front fascia receives dynamic headlights followed by substantial chrome work and beautifully developed bumper. The rear portion gets simple but eye catching look with sportier bumper.

Mechanically it will be enriched with 1.0 litre three cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing power of 65 bhp and torque of 90Nm. The transmission system will be controlled by five speed manual gearbox and also the option of four speed automatic transmission system. Once launched in Indian car market it will compete against Renault Kwid enriched with 1.0 litre engine, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Hyundai Eon.
