Traffic App launched by Pune Traffic Police for Pune
In today’s techno savvy environment when smartphones have minimized life at your finger through different mobile apps for different types of information, then why should be the commuters on road deprived from any information about traffic on specific road. With an objective to provide latest traffic information to commuters on Pune roads, Pune Traffic Police has introduced Pune Traffic App for citizens of Pune. The Pune Traffic App will alert the commuters about traffic jams on specific road of Pune. Besides providing the latest information about the traffic condition the app will also literate the users about traffic rules, addresses of different police stations located at different corners of Pune, contact details of local police officials. The app can also be connected to GPS enabled device facilitating the user for navigation.
The app is designed not only to facilitate the commuters on Pune roads but also to help the Pune Traffic Police to keep the database of all registered vehicles running on Pune roads updated, including number of vehicles stolen, driving licenses seized and offences. It will also assist the Pune Traffic Police to control the use of duplicate license issued by RTO and know about the exact information of any stolen car by filling its registration number.
Addressing the launch of Pune Traffic App Mr. Vishwan Pandhare, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Pune City said that the information provided in the app will be upgraded at regular basis and will help the traffic police in maintaining smooth running of traffic on Pune roads. Mr. Pandhare also recommended the use of such app in cities of country also which are suffering from the problem of huge traffic jams on roads for long hours. The App developed by Pune traffic police is similar to app developed by traffic police of Bangalore and apart from benefiting the Punekars it will also help the visitors coming to city.
