Two New Vehicles And One Facelift In the Pipeline of Hyundai For 2019
Recently the country’s second leading car maker Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) revitalized its one time best selling hatchback Santro in the Indian car market. The new Santro is developed on the new platform that is also used for developing generation next Xcent and Grand i10. Now after the successful launch of Santro in India, the Indian alliance of the Korean car market speculates to launch the three new vehicles followed by the generation next of compact SUV Creta and hatchback Elite i20. The three new vehicles that would be making their debut this year in the Indian car market:
Hyundai Styx: Codenamed as QXi, the Styx SUV would be the first vehicle by HMIL to made its entry in India during the second quarter of this year after its step in the international market during New York International Auto Show 2019. Developed on the platform used for developing the generation next Santro, the Styx SUV would be offered two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol variant would be offered with 1.4 litre petrol engine that boosting the power of 89 bhp. 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will boost the power 100 bhp and 1.4 litre diesel. It will be launched against Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the others in the segment.

Hyundai Kona: The highly awaited SUV is finally ready to step in India during the month of June this year. It will be the first electric vehicle to be introduced by the Korean company in India. It will be brought through CKD route. It will be offered with 2 battery option of 39.2 kWh and 64 kWh.

Facelift Hyundai Tucson: Expected to make its debut sometime during the month of May this year. Continuing the existing engine configuration of 2.0 litre petrol and 2.0 litre diesel engine, the Tucson SUV will be offered by a plethora of cosmetic updates including new LED headlight, new bumpers at both and rear ends, fog lamps housings and new grille. On the safety front it will be equipped with adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, 360 degree camera and lane assist system.
