Un-camouflaged Renault KWID caught by flashlights

French car maker Renault had globally unveiled its new hatchback KWID last month in Chennai and since then the hatchback has been spotted on several occasions. But this time spies have captured it completely uncovered driving on Krishnagiri roads near Bangalore. It is speculated that the hatchback will make its debut in Indian car market sometimes during the upcoming festive season. According to reports revealed by spies at first instance the hatchback gives an impression of SUV.
 
Technical changes under the bonnet will include 800 cc engine boosting the power of 57 bhp and would be offered with five speed manual gear transmission system and automated manual transmission system. Apart from regular feature it is expected to be offered with contemporary features like Media Nav multimedia, navigation system that supports connectivity with Bluetooth, and optional air bags. Based on CMF platform after launch it will compete against Hundai Eon and Maruti Suzuki Alto in segment. It is speculated to be offered with starting price tag of Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom price) onwards.
