Undisguised MG Gloster Spotted For The First Time
The Gloster SUV from the British carmaker MG Motors is all set to make its debut soon in the Indian car market. The spies have recently captured the undisguised SUV being tested in Gujarat. Along with this, the carmaker is also readying to launch the Hector Plus SUV in India in July this year. The Gloster SUV was showcased at the India Auto Expo 2020 concluded earlier this year as the second of the year by the company in India, after Hector Plus. The SUV will be brought through the CKD route in India and will be assembled at the company’s production unit at Halol, Gujarat. After the launch in India, the Gloster will have to compete with the existing key-leaders like Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, and Ford Endeavour.
In the international market, the SUV receives powers from a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates the power of 221 bhp and the torque of 360Nm. The transmission duty is performed by a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission system. The company has not disclosed any information regarding the engine configuration in the Indian car market, still, it is believed to be empowered with a 2.0-liter diesel engine mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission system. The engine might be outsourced from Italian carmaker FCA.
Speaking about the features that would be offered in the Gloster SUV, on the exterior front it receives large chrome garnished front grille, fog-lamps, LED headlight, silver front skid plate, chrome garnished window line, quad exhaust, roof spoiler six-spoke alloy wheels, glossy black rear diffuser, and many more. Inside, the cabin is believed to receive the features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 3-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch MID, ambient lighting system, and many more. It is also speculated to offer facilities like heat ventilation and massage to the front seat passengers.
