Upcoming cars under Rs 10 lakh

If you are afraid of the rise in the car loan interest rates and are short of some bucks, not to worry as there will be ten cars coming soon this will be priced under Rs 10 lakh. And above all these cars will be coming with exciting offers. So those who have till now postponed their plans to buy a car can now realize their dreams soon. Starting from anytime from next month to early next year, these cars will be launched with much fanfare and all these are hoped to create much sensation in the car market that is reeling under crisis following petrol price rise, high interest rates and impending special tax on diesel cars. These cars are also expected to kick off a new buying spree as all these will also be available in diesel option as well.

Renault Duster

This will be the compact SUV and the fourth offering by the French car maker. Expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, this SUV has the guts to sneak peak into the big SUVs domain. Also it will be a close rival not so inspiring Premier Rio, upcoming SUV Ford Ecosport and Maruti XA Alpha. The Renault Duster is expected to be launched in July.

Mahindra Mini Xylo

This will be the mini genie of Mahindra Xylo MUV. There is still a mystery regarding this car as whether it will be small MPV or a compact SUV or will succumb to be a hatchback. All the three possibilities seem to be certain as the to-be rising compact SUV line up in India will prompt Mahindra to launch its compact SUV, secondly, Mahindra has no hatchback offering in India and Mahindra Mini Xylo hatchback could fill that void. Thirdly, it could be only the Mini under four meter Xylo that will be priced less and will offer a people mover and a rival of Maruti Ertiga. The Mahindra Xylo Mini price is expected to be Rs 5 lakh as of now.

Chevrolet Sail

After the grand success of Chevrolet Beat Diesel, Chevrolet will be launching Chevrolet Sail sedan and hatchback in India. As these are Chinese offering, it is expected that these will be priced less than Rs 10 lakh. A Diwali launch is what is expected.

Tata Safari Storme

This is the remake of Tata Safari. New platform, improved performance driven engine and new looks besides preserving the same Safari like overall makeup is what the new Tata Safari Storme is all about. Expected to be priced close to Rs 10 lakh, the Storme is expected anytime from now. It will take on Mahindra XUV 500.

Mahindra Verito CS

The compact sedan Mahindra Verito CS will be based on the existing Verito. Taking advantage of the compact dimensions and under four meter tax rebates, the new Mahindra car will be positioned to outcast Maruti Swift Dzire. A 1.5 L K9K Renault diesel engine will do its duty under the hood of this new Mahindra sedan. A near Diwali launch is what Mahindra has planned.

Mahindra Reva NXR

Electric car Mahindra Reva NXR is the second generation attempt to revive the market for electric cars in India. Mahindra Reva NXR will have a near Diwali launch and expected price of Rs 3.30 lakh.

Meanwhile there are three MPVs Nissan Evalia, Chevrolet Enjoy and Ashok Leyland Style that are expected to arrive in India and will be priced under Rs 10 lakh. However the most anticipated one of the all is the Ford Ecosport SUV that is expected to be priced Rs 8.5 lakh and initial information regarding it suggest that it will be launched early next year.
