Upgraded Tata Tiago NRG Launched With BS6 Engine
The domestic carmaker Tata Motors has launched the upgraded Tiago NRG hatchback again in the Indian car market. The NRG version is the rugged and crossover version of the standard Tiago hatchback. It is for the second time the carmaker has launched the NRG version of Tiago in the Indian car market. Earlier the company had launched it back in 2018 and continued selling it in the market till early 2020. At that time, the NRG was powered by a BS-IV engine. In its new avatar, the Tata Tiago NRG comes equipped with a BS-VI compliant engine and is priced at Rs 6.96 lakh (ex-showroom price).

Under the hood, it is powered with the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that generates the power of 84.8 bhp and a torque of 113Nm. The transmission duty includes the option of a five-speed manual gear and a five-speed automatic transmission system. The company has also increased ground clearance to 181 mm, to offer a smooth suspension system.
Inside the cabin, it receives a charcoal black interior to give the NRG variant a unique look. Other notable features offered on the interior front includes a push-button start/stop, a seven-inch touchscreen, reverse parking camera, eight-speaker surround sound system, dual airbags and a few more.

On the exterior front, it receives new bumpers followed by a faux skid plate on the front fascia. It also receives coloured roof rails, B and C pillars and claddings on the side profile. The black coloured door handles. On the rear front, it is decorated with a big NRG logo, and black cladding on the boot. The other features like halogen lamps, front grille, piano black ORMs and contrasting black roof, are similar to the regular Tiago hatchback.a
