UVs making their presence in ten best selling vehicles

The mood of car enthusiasts keeps on swinging from hatchback to sedan, compact sedan, compact SUVs and SUVs that it is not possible to predict the actual taste of buyers. This can be witnessed from the sales records of auto industry according to which two of the recently launch utility vehicles have succeeded in dominating the sales of Indian car market during the month of May 2016. Although among these two UVs one is the rejuvenated incarnation of erstwhile avatar while another one is newly introduced first ever compact SUV by country’s leading car manufacturing company MSIL.
 
Toyota innova Crysta Front Low Side View
 
Yes you guessed right the above mentioned two UVs are Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. According to sales statistics revealed by auto industry, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker recorded sale of 7,259 units of Innova Crysta sold during the month of May 2016 as compared to 5,028 units Innova sold during the same month last year. Thus, recording growth of 44% in sales during the same period. Sales of Innova Crysta even surpassed the sales of Hyundai Creta which before launch of Crysta was one of the best selling SUVs in country. During the month of 7,057 units of Crysta were sold by Hyundai Motors India Limited.
 
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Side View
 
Moving towards the another UV, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza interestingly within the span of two months since its launch in March this year, the compact SUV succeeded in making its position in top ten best selling passengers vehicles in Indian car market during the month of May. During the month 7,193 units of Vitara Brezza were sold and the vehicle succeeded in getting itself placed at seventh position in the hierarchy. 
 
Talking about other segments of car market it would be interested to know that HMIL the Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is facing an internal competition. The competition exists between its two of the best selling hatchbacks Grand i10 and Elite i20. Surprisingly Grand i10 succeed in ruling the Elite i20 by selling out 12,055 units sold during the month as compared to 10,472 units of Elite i20 sold during the same period. The Elite i20 is not only facing tough competition from its sibling but also from Baleno hatchback by MSIL, which recorded sales of 10,000 units sold in the month of May 2016.
