Volkswagen and Tata Motors to launch their compact SUV’s in 2015
German car maker Volkswagen and domestic car making company Tata Motors have recently unveiled their upcoming compact SUV’s Taigun and Nexon respectively in the recently held Indian Auto Expo 2014. Now it seems that both these companies do not want to limit their future plans limited only to Auto Expo because it is reported that both of them are working on launching both these compact SUV’s in Indian car market sometimes during 2015. Where at one side all major car makers are offering new products frequently in Indian car market, Volkswagen India has minimized its boundaries only to fewer vehicles. But now going through the increasing craze towards SUV’s it seems Volkswagen intends to explore potential of growth in this segment.
On the other side domestic car manufacturing company Tata Motors although offered few new cars but did not tried its hands in compact SUV segment and now with Xenon company SUV it wants to explore its business in the same segment. However with this company is also reported to launch Zest compact sedan Bolt hatchback during the mid of 2014. Along with Xenon company had unveiled both these cars in Indian Auto Expo 2014. The upcoming compact sedan Xenon is expected to place tough competition to Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Volkswagen Taigun etc.
It would be interested to learn that both these initiatives received encouraging response from audiences and competitors and now everyone is keenly waiting to see when both these vehicles kiss the Indian roads.
