Volkswagen Jetta 2015 readying for launch

With an objective to regain its diminishing position in D segment of Indian car market German car maker Volkswagen is going to bring the refreshed version of Jetta sometimes during the second quarter of this year. The sedan received an encouraging response from Indian car enthusiasts at the time of its launch but with increasing competition it started losing its charisma. With rumors regarding launch of upcoming Hyundai ix25 and Maruti Suzuki SX-4 crossover, the car maker is more concerned about the existence of this sedan.

To overcome the expected increase in competition in segment car maker showcased the refreshed version of Jetta during New York Motor Show 2014, and is going to bring the same version in Indian car market during the second quarter of this year. To begin with, the refreshed version will receive the same engine configuration in both petrol and diesel disguises that is 1.4 litre TSI petrol and 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine followed by retuned power and torque performances. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 13.5 lakh and Rs 19.5 lakh and will compete against Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla Altis.
 
The major changes that are introduced in generation next Volkswagen Jetta are newly developed front and rear portion, new 10 spoke alloy wheels, rectangle fog lamps and few more. Inside the cabin it will receive touchscreen infotainment system, 3 spoke multi functional steering wheel and piano black interiors.
