Volkswagen launches Vento in Philippines as ‘Volkswagen Polo Notch’
German car maker has launched Volkswagen Vento in Philippines car market with a new name as ‘Volkswagen Polo Notch’ the new car is the third vehicle in Philippines car market after its entrance in car market. The Volkswagen Polo Notch is being exported from India where it is being produced at company’s Chakan production plant near Pune. In Philippines company has entered joining the hands of its official distributor Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. (ACEI). In Philippines it has been launched with price tag of 950,000 Philippine Pesos (Rs. 13.2 lakh INR) and is one of the cheapest cars from company in Philippines.
In the words of Mr. John Philip Orbeta, President ACEI, Volkswagen from beginning is recognized as car for people as its all cars are produced keeping requirements of customers in concern. And now by bringing Polo Notch (Volkswagen Vento) in Philippines car market, German car maker has opportunity of strengthening its roots in market by introducing vehicles bestowed with latest technical features.
At present company has launched Polo Notch only in diesel variant which is equipped with 1.6 litre TDI diesel engine churning the power of 104 bhp and torque of 250 Nm and coated with five speed manual gearbox. Apart from this other impressive features adorned in this EuroNCAP five star rated car includes dual front airbags, 15 inch alloy wheels, single CD player, ABS and manually adjustable air conditioner vents. It is expected to be a tough contender for Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Mazda 3.
