Volkswagen Taigun Arrives Dealerships, Launch In September
The launch of the compact SUV Taigun from the German carmaker Volkswagen will be special in many ways. First, the Taigun is the first vehicle by the company to be embellished with the new 2D logo design, thus replacing the existing three-dimensional design. Moving ahead the buyers will enjoy the new buying experience in the form of increased digitalization. According to the company sources it wants the customers to get instant access to information like the availability of financing schemes, car specifications, pricing, servicing, and others. The company is conducting training sessions for the staff members at the dealerships including the salesman and servicing advisors.

Speaking about the mid-sized SUV Taigun, it is proposed to be launched in the third week of September and the deliveries will start immediately after the launch event. The company will organize the media drives of the Taigun in the first week of August 2021 and will start receiving the booking from the second week of August.
The Volkswagen Taigun is developed on the new MQB AO IN platform. It will come equipped with two engine options of a 1.0-litre 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.0-litre engine is claimed to develop the power of 113 bhp and the torque of 175Nm, whereas the engine with 1.5-litre generates the power of 147 bhp and the torque of 250Nm. The transmission duties in the former engine option will be performed by an option of a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission system, whereas in the latter it will be performed by a seven-speed DSG transmission system.
It is believed to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh. After launch in the Indian car market, it will go against the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the upcoming MG Astor.
