Volkswagen Taigun SUV unveiled, heading straight to India
Whenever a new SUV is in any town in any part of the world, some suggest that it will be heading to India. This is right to some extent and one such SUV is the Volkswagen Taigun (popularly known as Volkswagen Tiguan) which was unveiled recently in Brazil. This mini SUV is all set to rock the market and give the Ford Ecosport some tough time. Renault Duster that has recently become the hot favorite as the low cost off roader will also be facing some heat by Taigun. This car is an upcoming SUV in India and is believed to be placed much below the recently added Volkswagen Touareg.

The world premiere of the new VW SUV is expected to be an indication of volumes that the car maker expects from the new car. Apart from looks, the new compact SUV by VW will also have good mileage and features probably true SUV features in order to distinguish it from the other mini SUVs present currently. The Taigun will be targeting the emerging markets and most importantly South America, China, Mexico and India. Our country India and China are on the radar as these are the two potentially big markets and the company expects some really good numbers from these countries.

Where the Taigun is a characteristic Volkswagen car from looks, it also has the comfort and class in every inch of it. The new SUV derives the same looks as that of the Touareg and the Tiguan. To be exactly 3.8 m in length, the SUV will be priced much below the current offerings and could also give a tough fight to the Maruti XA Alpha. In addition to it, the new SUV by Volkswagen is powered by 1 L petrol option and offers a mileage of over 22 kmpl. In India, the SUV is expected to have a diesel engine options.
