Volkswagen Tiguan scores 5 stars in Euro NCAP Test
The India bound crossover Tiguan by German car maker Volkswagen has succeeded in scoring 5 stars in independent European NCAP test conducted recently. The crash test was conducted on four standards, including protection test for adults and children, driver assistance system and pedestrian protection. Fortunately the cross over succeed in scoring top scores in all the tests which was possible due to integration of versatile and varied safety features in form of safety belt, driver assistance system and seat and airbag combination.

It would be interested to know that the version of Tiguan tested is India bound and is soon going to make its debut in Indian car market. In International market it is offered in both petrol and diesel variants with three engine and four engine options generating power varying from 125 bhp to 180 bhp and 115 bhp and 240 bhp respectively. Both the engines will be mated with six speed manual and seven speed DSG transmission system.
It is speculated that in Indian car market the diesel engine with seven DSG transmission system will be introduced sometimes during the end of this year. Prior to this car maker had showcased the vehicle during Indian Auto Expo 2016 held during the month of February.
