Volkswagen Touareg launched, Volkswagen XL1 concept unveiled

German carmaker Volkswagen has launched the much anticipated mid-sized crossover SUV Volkswagen Touareg in India at the Auto Expo currently in full swing in New Delhi. The Touareg V10 has the record in its name to tow the heaviest load (a 747 boeing) by a passenger car. So you can expect what a tremendous amount of power it has under the hood. Besides this Volkswagen will also be unveiling the Volkswagen XL1 concept vehicle at the 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Volkswagen Touareg will be available in India from April onwards. The Volkswagen Touareg price has been tagged to bag in much customer response in India following its mammoth power and safety features such as eight airbags besides others.

With the Volkswagen Touareg launch in India, the India SUV market is on the brim of an explosion as there are so many SUVs launches to see in the Auto Expo. The Touareg was first launched in 2002 as a result of the joint venture between VW, Audi and Porsche and it was developed to imbibe the spirit of an SUV and a sports car. Thus in Volkswagen Touareg you get the feel of two at the cost of one.

The new Volkswagen Touareg has the face and styling of Volkswagen that has been created by Walter de’Silva who is the chief of design. It is powered by 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine that produces a peak power of 239bhp making the SUV win over any terrain it is put to. There is also a significant attention to fun and entertainment inside the Touareg as it is fitted with Volkswagen's new RNS850 entertainment and navigation system. The 8-inch touch screen has a 60 GB hard drive fitted in it and is compatible to play DVD/CD/MP3 and FM/AM as well with several connectivity options.
