Volkswagen Vento 1.4 TSI set to gun Fiat Linea T-JET

Recently a Volkswagen Vento with a 1.4 Liter TSI Turbo Petrol engine was seen hitting the roads for test dives in Lavasa, near Pune.

This Turbo engine will surely hike up the sales for the petrol version whose sales are adversely affected by its diesel counter part.

The same engine is also fitted in the international version of Volkswagen Jetta, which can deliver maximum power of 120 bhp with the maximum torque of 200 Nm. Thus the engine being sufficiently powered for C segment cars in the Indian market, the company is all set to launch it in India.

The engine, besides being able to deliver a high power, is also capable of delivering an attractive fuel mileage of 16 kmpl in Volkswagen Jetta.

High fuel efficiency is the most important factor to attract buyers in the Indian market as the price of petrol is reaching sky high limits.

And thus the company launches Volkswagen Vento with a turbo petrol engine which is a better choice for a fuel efficient car, and has shorter response time.

Despite saying all this, it still remains a secret that what is the real motto of Volkswagen behind this turbo petrol engine. It may want to check the engine’s performance and then use it in some other car, say Volkswagen Jetta which is currently equipped with this engine giving it a speed of 100kph in just 10 seconds.

But still we are waiting for an official announcement from Volkswagen on this matter to clear up all the doubts and speculations.
