Volkswagen Vento facelift to debut on September 24, 2014
German car maker Volkswagen is going to launch the facelift version of its sedan Vento in Indian car market on September 24, 2014. The major features offered in facelift Vento would new outlook followed by integration of DSG automatic transmission system in diesel version. Apart from DSG automatic transmission system another interesting change that would be adhered in facelift Vento would be placement of 1.5 TDI engine boosting the power of 105 PS and torque of 250Nm and mated with five speed manual gearbox and also six speed DSG automatic transmission system.
With going cut throat competition in C segment sedan it was becoming difficult for Vento to face the tough competition being offered by Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Linea, Hyundai Verna, Renault Scala and upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. However now with facelift Vento it is expected that sedan will be in position to face this competition more strongly.
