Volkswagen Vento heads to China to replace Jetta
The Volkswagen car company is planning to introduce the new Volkswagen Vento sedan in China. Here it will be replacing Volkswagen Jetta sedan. In India as well, the German car maker has done some experiments with Volkswagen cars and these were quite successful. The Volkswagen Polo was redesigned, given a big boot and it was all ready for a show time in the form of VW Vento. Next, the Volkswagen Vento again went for some changes, VW badge was replaced with the subsidiary car makers Skoda badge and the Skoda Rapid was ready that has created much sensation in India.

In China, the Volkswagen Vento will be replacing the old age Jetta and it is expected that since it will be a new car, it will sell well in the Chinese market that is the biggest car market and the most prominent in terms of car sales as well as a major source for any car maker for becoming the world’s largest car maker. If a car company is able to sell its cars well in China, US and some other prominent markets, no other car maker can match up to the car sales then. It seems that VW is weaving such dreams with the plan to launch Vento in China. The Vento is already being sold in South Africa as Polo sedan and now that it is heading China to replace Jetta, it will be a wait and watch scene.

The Vento sedan that will be launched in China will be a slightly modified version than that is available in India. It will have new headlamps and slightly new bumpers. In China, the Vento will have two petrol trims – 1.4 L and the 1.6L petrol engine. With the China production this year and an expansion later on, car industry experts believe that Vento will be able to make its presence well in the largest car market China.
