Volkswagen Vento heads to Malaysia, CBU export from India
German automobile giant Volkswagen’s two offerings Vento sedan and Polo hatchback have created new chapter in the history of popularity of cars in India. At a point of time, Volkswagen Vento sales have surpassed Honda City sales while Breeze editions lately also remained popular among car buyers. In order to repeat the history created in India, Volkswagen is planning to head Vento and Polo to Malaysia.

However, there will be a change in the naming of these vehicles and VW Vento will be called as Polo just the same way as the car is being called in Russia as well. Besides, the same 1.6L MPI engine will be there under the hood of the Vento. The engine has delivered quite impressive performance in India with 105PS of power and 153Nm of torque at 3800 rpm. Contrary to India, the diesel avatar of Vento is not supposed to land in Malaysia as there only petrol cars are popular. VW is also supposed to enter Malaysia with lot of offers as it did in India and has succeeded in grappling a chunk of the sedan market in India.

As per reports, it is yet to be decided from where the Vento would be exported to Malaysia. Will it be India or Russia, is yet to be decided. But experts believe that it will be India from where the Ventos will be shipped. The Vento will be shipped as completely built up units and we hope that Vento will also create its own space in there as well as it did in India.

Seeing the popularity and strong customer base of Vento it can be said that the market for boot added to hatchback is catching up. Maruti did it with Swift and came up with Maruti Dzire and is also said to be in the making of under four meter avatar called as Maruti Swift Dzire 3.99 aka Maruti Swift Dzire CS.
