Volvo C40 Recharge To Offer 530 Range, Unveiled In India
The Sweden-based carmaker Volva launched the XC 40 Recharge electric SUV last year in the Indian car market. Now Volvo India, the Indian alliance of the company, has unveiled the new coupe SUV C40 Recharge in India and claims to deliver an average of 530 km on a single charge. The Coupe SUV is slated to launch in August this year, and deliveries will start in September 2023.

After its launch in the Indian car market, the C40 Recharge will compete with Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. The C40 Recharge is the coupe version of the XC40 Recharge being sold in India and other international markets. Speaking about its exterior looks, the front fascia receives the signature body-coloured similar to the XC40 Recharge SUV. Alike its elder sibling, the front fascia has Thor-hammer-inspired LED headlamps and stacked tail lights.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 78 kWh battery pack with a dual-electric motor. It will receive an all-wheel-drive option. The 78kWh battery develops a power of 405 bhp and a torque of 660 Nm. According to the company resources, the new Coupe SUV will offer an average of 530 km on a single charge. By using the 150kW DC fast charger the battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in 27 minutes only.
Looking wise, the C40 Recharge looks almost different from its elder sibling Xc40 Recharge. It will be offered with a six-colour option including crystal white, fusion red, sage green, onyx black, cloud blue and Fjord blue. Inside the cabin, it will receive the all-black treatment and a clutter-free dashboard. The dashboard receives a nine-inch vertical stacked touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment system is developed in collaboration with Google and offers services like Google Maps, Google Play Store, and Google Assistant.
