Volvo endeavoring to bring self driving car before Google
The concept of driver less car has gain huge popularity in recent years due to insufferable driving on high traffic roads. Struggling in traffic has become a habit of commuters and despite of changing their way they have not succeeded in getting rid of this problem. This has resulted in high demand of vehicle where the drivers do not have to face the problem of gear shifting and braking according to traffic conditions. As an impact of this all major renowned car making companies have started working on a car which protects the drivers from all these issues and the best solution which comes at first instance is development of car which is self driven and where the driver does not have drive car in pace with traffic. Google has already taken a step ahead in this direction and its driver less car has been witnessed on various occasions being tested on road. Now one more name is going add its name in this race. It is reported that Swedish car maker Volvo is going to bring its self driving car in Sweden car market latest by November 18, 2017. An interesting feature of this announcement is that car maker has even confirmed the launch date of its car with full confident.

According to reports car maker recently showcased the first image of its self driving car codenamed as Concept 26. According to sources of company the logic behind naming this project Concept 26 refers to 26 minutes which determines that company is working regularly on this project. Although the company has not disclosed any details about exteriors or any other features. Inside the cabin you will find center console integrating tablet looking screen. But an interesting feature of self driving car offered by Volvo is that it can even take shape of home theater. The steering wheel moves inside the dashboard and tray comes out from door located at driver side the seats automatically recline and a large screen comes out. Thus, facilitating the passengers to enjoy watching their favorite movie even while driving through huge traffic.

According to Mr. Peter Mertens, Volvo’s research lead “We have gone to great lengths to understand the challenges and opportunities that autonomous cars will bring to people in coming years. Apart from above mentioned information nothing has been so far revealed by company. However on the basis of erstwhile statements made by company resources the self driving car from Volvo might be based on platform used for developed XC90 SUV.
