Volvo Readying To Launch XC40 In India; Expected Launch in July 2018

According to recent reports Volvo India, the Indian alliance of Swedish car maker Volvo is all set to launch its new SUV XC40 in the Indian car market sometime during the second week of July this year. The new SUV is reported to be developed on the new Common Modular Architecture platform. It will be offered with one diesel engine option of 2.0 litre engine that will be capable of boosting the power of 190 hp and the torque of 400 Nm. The transmission duties would be performed by eight speed automatic transmission system which would be standard followed by all-wheel drive facility as the standard feature.

Talking about the features that would be offered in the new SUV includes the huge brigade of some remarkable features like digital instrument console, nine inch Sensus infotainment system, thirteen speaker harmon/kardon audio system, driver’s seat memory function, keyless entry and engine start, wireless charging, park pilot assist system, panoramic sunroof, electronic tailgate, radar based active safety tech and many more.

On the exterior front the new Volvo XC40 would be offered with three color options which will include Bursting Blue, Crystal White and Fusion Red. All the variants will be offered with black roof, thus giving XC40 the dual color treatment. The standard exterior feature will include eighteen inch five spoke two-tone alloy wheels as standard feature. It will brought through CBU route and is expected to be priced between Rs. 40 lakh and Rs. 44 lakh (ex-showroom price). After launch in the Indian car market it will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Audi Q3.
