Volvo S90 Sedan Debuting on November 4, 2016
After the successful launch of Plug-in Hybrid sedan in Indian car market, Swedish car maker Volvo is all set to launch the S90, the successor of S80 in Indian car market on November 4, 2016. The S90 sedan is based on company’s light weight scalable design philosophy, which is also followed in XC90 sedan. Along with this the S90 will also carry clues of SUV design philosophy and therefore it is speculated to embellish dynamic and aggressive looks on exteriors.

On the power front it will be equipped with 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine with two engine tunes including 187 bhp with torque generation efficiency of 400Nm and another one with 231 bhp and developing torque of 490Nm. The transmission duties will include eight speed automatic gearbox. In India it will be brought through CBU route and is anticipated to be priced in the range of Rs. 40 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh and will compete against Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class.

On the exteriors the most impressive factor is indulging of aggressive character lines, company’s signature grille mounted on both sides of sleek headlamps followed by LED DRLs inspired from Thor’s hammer. The rear bumper is placed slightly below the counterpart and is finally developed. The taillights might disappoint most of the enthusiasts due to their aggressive appearance.

Inside the cabin it will continue company’s conventional plush treatment. The upholstery will be mainly wrapped in black leather while the other parts will receive chrome and wooden treatment to further enhance the appearance of interiors. Other notable features offered inside the cabin will include nine inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear air conditioner vents, automatic climate control system, steering mounted controls and many more.
