According to the recent reports revealed by Volvo India, the XC40 SUV that was launched earlier this month has succeeded in garnering 200 bookings within the span of fifteen days, since its launch. The sources also said that the car maker has also introduced two new versions in the XC40 line-up along with R-Design version that was introduced during the launch. Under the hood, Volvo XC40 is empowered with 2.0 litre diesel engine that is capable of boosting the power of 190 hp and the torque of 400Nm. The transmission duties are performed by eight-speed automatic transmission system and equipped with Haldex all-wheel driving system as standard features across all the trims. The XC40 is first vehicle by the car maker that is based on the Compact Modular Architecture platform.

 

 

Talking about the features offered in this new SUV includes keyless entry with remote tag, driftwood inlays, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, park pilot assist system, paddle shifters, Harman/Kardon audio system, power foldable rear headrests, inductive charging, crystal gear lever knob and many others. All these features are offered in the top end variants.

 

 

The standard features that are offered to the buyers of all variants are panoramic sunroof, front radar-based safety tech, nine-inch touchscreen display for sensus infotainment system, rear parking camera, eighteen-inch alloy wheels, hill descent control system and others. Company has also revised the price of entire line-up, the Momentum trim that is the basic trim will now be offered with the price tag of Rs. 43.9 lakh (ex-showroom price) despite of Rs. 39.9 lakh at the time of launch, the R-Design trim will now of offered with the price sticker of Rs. 42.9 lakh (ex-showroom) despite of 39.90 lakh whereas the top end trim Inscription would be offered with the price tag of Rs. 43.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
