What Anand Mahindra Said On Mohammed Siraj’s Performance?
The majestic performance by the Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj during the final match of the Cricket Asia Cup 2023 has mesmerized every cricket-loving person. With his sensational performance, 6/21 against the hosting country Sri Lanka, made India hold the cup for the eighth time. His dynamic performance received appreciation from people of all groups including Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra. Commenting on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Anand Mahindra wrote, “I don’t think I have EVER before felt my heart weep for our opponents….It’s as if we have unleashed a supernatural force upon them… @mdsirajofficial you are a Marvel Avenger…”.
Anand Mahindra who is also known for encouraging sportspersons for their excellence has felicitated the Indian women boxer Nikhat Zareen with a Thar SUV for winning the World's Women Championship at the beginning of this year. Before this, he had gifted a customized XUV700 to the Olympian Champion Neeraj Chopra in 2020. Recently also, he announced an electric XUV400 for the parents of Indian chess sensation R Praggnanadhaa after he became the youngest player ever in the history of the FIDE World Cup finals.
Keeping all these facts in concern speculations are high that soon Anand Mahindra can announce one more SUV for Mohammed Siraj. It would be interesting to know that Siraj was among the six cricketers to whom Mahindra had gifted Thar SUV for their excellent performance during the test series against Australia in 2021. Expressing his thanks to Anand Mahindra for Thar SUV in 2021, Siraj on his Instagram account replied, “Words fail me at this moment. There is nothing I can say or do that will adequately express how I feel about your beautiful gift. For now, I’ll just say a big fat thank you".
