Will Tata Group Become The "Sankat Mochan" for Auto Sector?
In the year 1868 when 29-year old Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata started a trading company with only Rs 21,000 (which was a huge amount at that time), nobody had imagined that one day this group will become one of the biggest groups in the world. What makes Tata Group different from other organizations is not only offering high-quality services and products to its clients but also working for the welfare of society and its employees. In 1903 Jamsetj entered the hotel business and established the Hotel Taj. It was his dream project.

The year 1907 was like a dream coming true for the group, as it established its first overseas office in London. It was the beginning of a new journey for making its recognition on the international platform. In 1920 India sent its first Olympic team as the result of Sir Dorabji’s endeavours. In 1924 he sponsored the Indian team in the Paris games. In 1936 the group established the Tata Institute of Social Sciences to encourage social education in the country. At present, it is one of the best educational institutions in the country. Continuing its successful journey, the Tata Group established the Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company which was later named Tata Motors.
Although during this it has undergone lots of ups and downs. Whether it was an insult by Ford Motors. The group has always proved its vision and intelligence by replying hard for its humiliation. The group purchased two renowned brands of Ford Motors and helped to come out from the financial crisis.
Today, all the major car manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki India Limited are struggling with the shortage of semiconductor chip and has reduced its production efficiency up to 40%.To get rid of this problem Tata group is planning to start the manufacture of these chips. According to reports, Tata’s subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover is also facing the same problem. At present, the group has more than 110,000 orders of Land Rover pending across the world.
